Gablers Dominate Early & Often


1st Period:Gamblers Take Control Early


The Gamblers came out like a pack of hungry wolves,dominating the opening minutes with relentless pressure.The Mustangs,meanwhile,played like a team that just realized the puck had dropped.Colin Farr was the only Mustang standing between the Gamblers and total annihilation.



  • Gamblers 1,Mustangs 0 – 7:33–Luke Webster kicked things off with a gorgeous solo effort,picking off a weak pass at his blue line and racing in alone.Farr bit on the forehand-backhand move as Webster chipped it in like he was playing a friendly game of backyard pond hockey.

  • Gamblers 2,Mustangs 0 – 4:15– A classic case of “what just happened?” as Topo LaCroixtried to center the puck forMax Woods.  Farr tipped the pass...directly onto his own goal line.Woods calmly pushed it over.

  • Gamblers 3,Mustangs 0 – 0:40–Ryan Bergeron, aka “The Boogeyman,” joined the fun with a twisted wrister through a sea of screens.

2nd Period:Mustangs Show Signs of Life(Briefly)



  • Gamblers 4,Mustangs 0 – 9:52(PPG)– On the power play,LaCroix blazed up the ice,dusting his defender like a sprinter outrunning a jogger.Cutting across the crease,he chipped his own rebound over Farr.

  • Mustangs 1,Gamblers 4 – 6:30–William Mudge threw a puck from behind the net that banked in off Evan Cline.

  • Gamblers 5,Mustangs 1 – 6:20– Off the faceoff,Ryan LaCroix found Woods,who sniped top shelf.

  • Gamblers 6,Mustangs 1 – 4:20– Webster struck again,taking a pass from rookie Worthy Gardner and burying his own rebound.

  • Mustangs 2,Gamblers 6 – 3:28– Mudge won a faceoff back to Dylan Parker,whose point shot led to a Mudge rebound goal.

3rd Period:Collins Steals the Show



  • Gamblers 7,Mustangs 2 – 4:49–Sean Collins delivered a highlight-worthy moment,toe-dragging a defender and scoring low blocker side.

Postgame Notes



  • Goalie Duel?Evan Cline remains the gold standard in UVHL netminding,while Colin Farr did everything he could to keep this game respectable.

  • LaCroix Brothers Chemistry:Ryan and Topo combined for 3 points,further solidifying their status as the Gamblers’ dynamic duo.

  • Sean Collins:His Goal of the Year candidate capped off a strong two-way game for the Gambler.
