Jacks Dominates Whalers...I mean should.
ODDS: | Tuck by 7 |
OVER/UNDER: | 11 Goals |
The downtrodden Whalers look for their first win of the season against a high flying Lumberjacks team who has dominated them twice by the score of 9-2. In both games the Whalers played good hockey through 2 periods and were in both games but tend to fall apart in the third period.
The Jack's are powered by a trio of Woodstock natives: Alex Brands (14 pts), Jordan "Magoo" McGee (12 pts) and Nico Brands (10 pts). Those three rank 2nd, 4th & 6th in the UVHL for points. The Whalers do not have a single player in the top 20 in scoring, but are led by the crafty Russell Teller (5 pts), who is tied for the league lead in points per game at 1.67 PPG with Nico Brands due to an injury and only playing 4 games this season.
The Whalers have let up a league low 69 goals this season in 10 games while only managing to put up 17 goals. Without their games against the Whalers, the Jacks have only scored 22 while letting up 21 and sit in second to last place.
It's the battle of the basement people...well more like the battle of the basement vs a team that is at the bottom of a very very deep well.
Can the Whalers make it interesting? Can they slow down the high powered Jack's offense? Can the Jacks put up 9 again against Lallier's Loveable Losers? We will see tonight...8:10 kickoff.
