In the first game of the night we had Tuck hosting the Nordiques. Tuck comes into this week looking to rebound from a 4-2 loss to the Lumberjacks, meanwhile the Nords are coming off their first win of the season over the Whalers in a shootout. With it being a holiday week both teams were a bit on the light side which would affect the outcome of the game, Tuck had a total of 9 skaters (5 from their roster) and the Nords had 13. As the game started both teams came out slow but it was the Nords just four minutes into the game that opened the scoring when Greg Marsh put home a rebound after Tucks fill in goalie Paul Osgood made the first two saves. The Nords kept the pressure on Tuck and it was Stu Grande who put the Nords up 2-0 on the power play with 8:01 left in the period. The Nords would make the score 3-0 before the period was over when Spencer Zaha got his first of the season after being set up by line mate Cole Hunter with 2:36 left in the period. The period would end with the Nords up 3-0 as they were the better of the two teams in the first.

In the second period the Nords came out hungry and kept the pressure on Tuck who was still making adjustments to the fill in players and goalie. The Nords would get the games next goal at the 12:05 mark with a goal from Brock Barton when he was set up by D man Pierce Mayhew. With the Nords in control of the game Tuck was able to get two goals before the period was over, Conrad Trimbath would get Tuck on the board with 7:18 to make the scored 4-1. Then Tucks Jared Pomerance would cut the lead to half with 5:32 left in the period. The period would end 4-2 Nords as they looked to win their second game of the season.

In the third period the Nords came out hungry and it paid off as it only took them a minute to score as Cole Hunter put them up 5-3. The Nords weren"t done there as the would score two more quick goals, the first would come from Rich Golden at the 11:32 mark and then Cole Hunter would follow up with his second of the night just 15 seconds later. Tuck made one final push in but Colin Farr was solid in the third period and wouldn"t let them back into the game. The Nords would win this game 7-2 as they now have won two games in a row.
