Two of the top teams in the UVHL this season face off tonight as the top dog Tuckies(10-3-0) and Cardigan(7-5-1) prepare to battle. Tuck took the first match of this season, 6-4, between these two teams and the second was a 0-0 tie as both franchises couldn't field a team due to the holidays.

Cardigan will be without their top offensive threat, Owen Carpino, which gives Tuck a huge advantage. Carpino's league leading 32 goals in 12 games will sorely be missed, especially since he's scored 42% of his teams goals this season.

Tuck has been extremely good this year and are well balanced at all positions. Brandon Harrington leads the team offensively with 27 points(18g, 9a) and Mike Devine anchors the backend with a ridiculous 2.90 GAA and 8 wins. In between they are without a natural defenseman, but that hasn't seemed to slow them down.

Without Carpino and a short bench, Cardigan is going to have trouble keeping up with those Wicked Smaaaaht Kids from Tuck who practice 8 days a week and play another 3 games.

Tuck walks away early, 9-3.

Tuck Shuts Down Carpino-less Cardigan, 6-3

The top ranked Tuck Turduckens brought their talents to Cardigan Mountain School tonight and broke the teacher's union 6-3. Cardigan was without their top forward, Owen Carpino, and his league leading 32 goals due to behavioral issues on the ice. Carpino's absence was sorely missed as seen on the scoreboard and his 3.17 points per game.

Tuck came out flying, led by the heroics of Brandon "The Harry One" Harrington's hat-trick and helper. Goalie turned skater Josh "Giddyup" Gartner popped his third goal of the season and added an assist for good measure. Tuck's other two goals were scored by Yvan Stern-Plaza and Jeff "The Wasp" Wannop.

Cardigan used 3 different goal scorers; Graham Gauthier, Timmy Leroy and Tad Skelley.

Tuck improved to 11-3-0 on the season and Cardigan dropped to 7-6-1.
