ODDS: | Nords by 1 |
OVER/UNDER: | 7 |
One thing is always true in games between these two squads: if the Nords don't bring their A-game they will be soundly beaten by the hardworking and forechecking Whalers. Period. The other thing is that we will hear Kelly Park talking about a new move he has invented just for LeLallier, usually named "The Kenny Special 123", or the "Park Bum Knee Miss the Net Entirely While Tripping All Over Myself Super Deke". No matter what it is called, Park will fuck it up, and if it comes to a shootout Park will have to recuse himself from all attempts and send out McBleuCheese instead.
Seeing as I missed the last week before the Christmas break, I don't quite have a finger on the pulse of the league right now... How will this game go? Well, the Nords will have trouble with the Shaw-Zaneloni combo up front, and if Joey Hayes is there there will be little time to move the puck and Hayes will be backchecking and causing turnovers. Kenny told JT to bring his A-game in Sunday night, so the challenge has been issued! If the Whalers D take too puck time fiddling with the puck in their own end then it will be over quickly. The Nords need to find scoring from the other two lines as the McGee-Brands-Marsh trio has been doing most of the scoresheet entries in the Nords' favor so far this season. The Nords are hurting without Drew Crapser on D, and miss his spin-o-ramas and hard shots from the point. Based on past history alone I will favor the Nords by 1, but recent history may be more of a factor in changing that.
