ODDS: | Brewers by 3 goals |
OVER/UNDER: | 9 goals |
The Tuck Business School Flying Turduckens host the Brewers in the final tilt of week 3. The Brewers walk into tonight with a solid 2-0-0 record, while the struggling Tuckies are looking to dig themselves out of a deep 0-2-0 hole.
Tuck, led by defensive stalwart Ryan "The Governor" McGovern, Offensive Genius Adam "Tha Man" Mantin & Outdoor Enthusiast / Air Guitar Hero Ryan "The Frizz" Fitzgerald. Fitzy has had a rough start in net and NEEDs to put this team on his shoulders if they are going to be successful.
The Brewers are led by offensive standouts Nick "No Pass, Dr. McNoLook, Captain McSelfish" Bayley, Christian "Pipes" Isaac & newcomer Billy "The Finisher" Fletcher who filled in with 6g & 3a in last weeks 12-5 blowout of the Kingers. The Brewers look like a contender yet again, and will be a dominant force this year. Founded on a good structure of veterans, addition of depth and the return of a BEHOMOTH of a netminder, in Petey "The DeVirginator" Bartline.
This will be an interesting game to watch, both teams have the potential to break a game open at any moment with finesse, yet have a chippy and aggressive side that can also turn a game.
MY PREDICTION: It will be a VAST improvement in both the defense & goaltending columns for the Tuckies, but in the end the Brewers will be too strong:
Brewers 6, Tuck 3

The Tuck Business School Flying
Turduckens hosted the Drunken Brewers of Bridgewater Vermont in the late time slot this week. The Tuckies were looking to erase the worst start in franchise history, 0-2-0, while the Brewers were embracing perfection, 2-0-0.
The Brewers will be without the services of their top to forwards for the next t-minus 85 days 15 hours 48 minutes and 10 seconds. With "Dr. McNoPass" Nick Bayley and Christian "The Personality" Isaac down in Key West picking up guys at their local bar for the next 85 days, the Brewers will rely heaviliy on their core group of veterans and their giant pile of goalie equipment, Petey "Man-Boy" Bartline.
Tuck was also missing quite a few players as only 8 of their 73 players were available for the late hour, and netminder Ryan "The Freezer" Fitzgerald. Tuck was able to bring on rent-a-player Kelly "The Mouth" Park, but Park may have done more damage than good in this highly competitive game.
Tuck struck first in this one, just 35 seconds in when Adam "Preying" Mantin finished a Stephen Cheng pass to the high slot. The next 8 minutes were back and forth hockey to no avail. The only notable over those 8 minutes would be that the Brewer's Danny "Chunk" Charette beat his own personal record by eating 3 pints of Super Fudge Half Baked Double Chunk Ice Cream in 4.5 minutes. The Brewers finally broke through on Fitzgerald with 6 minutes to go with a "Flying" Bill Fletcher goal, quickly followed by goals from Tripple B, "Busty" Brock Barton, and "Bland" Brian Smith. Tuck's Petey "All-Pro" Albro brought his team back within 1 goal with 50 seconds to go.
END OF THE FIRST: Tuck 2, Brewers 3
The Brewer's Fletcher quietly added two more goals in the second period to give the Brew Crew a commanding 3 goal lead with 8:25 to go. Tuck bounced back on a Ryuji "Kooch" Kikuchi breakaway goal where he beat Bartline with a quick wrister high glove side, followed by a Pace "The Race" Ralli after jamming in a rebound with 2:53 to go. Tuck had actually played a solid second period, keeping a very good offensive team at bay as well as creating quality scoring opportunities.
END OF THE SECOND: Tuck 4, Brewers 5
The Brewers struck again in the first 2 minutes, as Triple B finished a pass from Smith just 1:38 in. Tuck tied the game up with goals from Cheng & "All-Pro" and played excellent hockey over the next few minutes until the Brewers bounced on a turnover at center ice and Brock Barton broke down the near boards, cut to the center and fired a quick wrister for the go ahead goal and 3:37 to play. Tuck pressured, but the poise and confidence of the Brewers won over as they took advantage of a bad pass from Park that bounced over the stick of the defenseman at the point. Sean "The Ladie's Man" McCabe walked the puck down the ice all alone and deposited the nail in the coffin with just 8 seconds to go.
END OF REGULATION: Tuck 6, Brewers 8
