Storm Kings return to UVHL action victorious (weird, huh?)

The UVHL's Season 3 juggernaut made their return to league action on 1/3/06 to take on the Avs. Was there any question as to the outcome of this one? Vegas had the line at Storm Kings -8, so at least the Avs covered for a New Years bonus! The over/under was at 12, so even up on that one... A rare penalty shot was assessed on Tom Scull's tripping-up of Avs F/D Jami James' clear breakaway (coach told him to take that penalty every time, eh), but James was denied on the penalty shot at 1:40 of the third period by Dan French in the SK's net.
