In the first semifinal game we had the top seed Labatt Blues hosting the #4 seed Tuck. Tuck advance into this game after a 3-1 over the Whalers in Sunday's play in game. The Blues have been the best team all year but Tuck has really picked up their play over the last three games and shown that they can play with anyone in the league. This game started out with Tucking grabbing the lead at 11:22 on a goal from Nick Hunnewell. The teams would exchange power play chances but neither team could score, however it was the Blues Tim McAuliffe who would tie the game at 1-1 with 1:01 left in the first period. The period would end with the score tied at 1-1 with both teams getting plenty of chances in the first.

In the second the Tuck would outshoot the Blues and it would finally payoff on a power play goal from Jimmy Herter with 23 seconds left in the period. Tuck would head into the third with a 2-1 lead.

In the third Tuck would keep the foot on the gas pedal and go up 3-1 on a goal from Chris Jones with 10:30 left to play in the period. After going up 3-1 Tuck would take a penalty but the Blues were not able to score on the PP chance. The Blues would then get in penalty trouble and Tuck's Jeremy Deutsch would make them pay as he would put Tuck up 4-1 with 8:50 left in the period. The Blues didn't stop playing as they pushed back but it was Tuck's Lindsay Holdcroft that help Tuck cruise to a 4-1 win and advance to the Whalen Cup finals!
