In the second game of the night we have the Blues hosting the Whalers. The Blues come into this week after beating the Jacks in a hard fought game, whereas the Whalers come into tonight after getting beat 9-2 by the Gamblers. Both teams showed up with full benches but both teams had fill in goalies, the Blues had Jon Hall in net for them and the Whalers had Colin Farr filling in for them. In the first neither team was able to score but the Blues outshot the Whalers 19-9.

In the second the period it was more of the Blues but they were having a hard time beating Farr. It wasn't until 12:01 in the period that Brain Smith put the Blues up 1-0. That would be the only goal of the period but again the Blues outshot the Whalers 17-9.

In the third period the Blues once again took it to the Whalers and they extend their lead to 2-0 as Mike Anderson beat Farr 52 seconds into the period. The Blues didn"t stop there as Justin Lawrence would score the games next two goals, the first coming at 10:08 and the second was shorthanded with 7:37 left in the period. After giving up a shorthanded goal the Whalers were able to finally get on the scoreboard as Ryan Brigham would score with 7:00 remaining to make the score 4-1. The Blues would get a power play with 5:15 left in the game and this time Ray Sprague would score on the power play to put the Blues up 5-1. The Blues would score two more goals even strength, the first from Chad Quirion at 2:48 and then Brain Smith would get his second of the night with 2:05 remaining to put the Blues up 7-1. The Whalers Ryan Brigham would score his second of the night with 1:17 left in the game as the Blues would go on to win the game 7-2.
