In the first game of the night we have the Nords hosting Tuck. The Nords are coming into this week off a forfeit loss to Ramuntos as they we unable to field a full roster. The forfeit loss drops the Nords to fourth place in the standings, while Tuck is currently sitting in second place in the standings. Tuck comes into tonight off a big win last week over the first place Lumberjacks. The Nords showed up for the game light again as the only had 7 skaters and a goalie, meanwhile Tuck was able to field a full roster. Although the Nords showed up light they were able to get on the board first when Pierce Mayhew put the puck past Alex Kremer who was in net for Tuck as Dan Rosen had the night off. Tuck picked up the play after giving up the first goal of the game but it wasn"t until 1:27 left in the first that they were able to tie the game as Jed McDonald set up Will Collins backdoor to tie the game. With the game tied heading into the second period the Nords needed to thank JT as he had a solid 14 saves in the first to keep his team in this game, Alex Kremer finished the period with 8 saves.

The second period was pretty even as both teams kept pressing for the games next goal but both goalies were playing well tonight. The Nords were able to get the go ahead goal at 7:04 from Ian Coates who was set up by Kelly Park. The period would end with the score 2-1 Nords and the play as very even in the second period. Kremer finished the period with 10 saves and JT finished with 9 saves.

Heading into the third period you could see that Tuck was digging deep and trying to get the games tying goal. Tuck came out hungry and started taking it to the Nords. Because JT was playing so well in the first 5 minutes of the period, it forced Tuck to call a time out with 10:02 left in the game to come up with a game plan on how to be JT. After the timeout you could see Tuck had come up with a plan and they were firing pucks at Turner from every angle possible. The next 7 minutes went by with both goalies making huge saves and not allowing either team to score. At 2:55 fatigue was starting to set in for the Nords which forced them to use their time out as Tuck was relentless and just kept coming at the Nords. Again after this time out there was no letting up from Tuck as they kept setting up in the Nords end and firing shots with hopes that one would get by Turner. Finally at 1:13 left in the period Tuck"s Michael Boches was able to beat JT to tie the game at two. Tuck"s John Dawson fired the puck from the point but it was blocked by a Nords defenseman in front of the net, the puck then landed in front of Boches who collected the puck, did a 180 and fired the puck at JT and it found its way to the back of the net as Turner was screened. Tuck had even more momentum going as the Nords were just trying to hang on at this point. Tuck put the puck deep on the next face and kept the pressure on the Nords. While in the Nords end the puck made its way back to Jed McDonald who was set up on the point, he fired a shot and Michael Boches picked up his rebound and put the puck past JT to put Tuck up 3-2 with just 25 seconds left in the game. Tuck would hold on to win the game 3-2 after dominating the whole third period. JT finished the third period with 19 saves and a total of 42 on the night, meanwhile Kremer finished with 8 for the third period and a total of 26. If it wasn"t for Turner this game could have gotten out of control but the Nords did the best they could with a very short bench.
