The Whalers come into this week with an 0-10 record as they lost last week to Tuck in a very close game. They have shown that they have the talent, they just need to put forth a full 45 min effort. The Whale will be relying on James Kerrigan and Scott Shaw to provide the offense.

After a loss last week to the Jacks, Ramuntos is looking to get back on track with a win. Ramuntos has been struggling lately but with the new year here, they are moving on and forgettign about the past. Ramuntos is led by Justin Lawrence and Matt Litler.

This game will be close game until late in the third where the Whalers will get their first win of the season, winning the game 3-2.

The Whalers come into this week with an 0-10 record as they lost last week to Tuck in a very close game, meanwhile Ramuntos comes into this week after a loss to the number one team in the league, the Jacks. The Whalers came out of the gate flying looking to get their first win, with their fast start they were able to get on the score board first with Mike Avery beating Tazzy low blocker side just 44 seconds into the game. The Whalers continued to pressure Ramuntos however they weren"t able to get another goal to extend the lead. Ramuntos had numerous opportunities in the first however they could not get the puck past JT who played very well filling in for Kenny Lallier. JT ended the period with 15 saves and keep the Whalers in front 1-0 after one.

In the second period Ramuntos came out even harder and started to dictate the play to the Whalers as they wanted the game more. After dominating the play for a couple minutes Ramuntos was finally able to answer back as Garren Poirier tied it up at 13:30 with a shot that beat JT high glove side. Ramuntos didn"t let up there after tying the game, they continued to pressure and fire shots at JT. At 10:06 Keith Lazarczyk was able to put Ramuntos up 2-1 after he put home a rebound that JT couldn"t control. Ramuntos was able to extend the lead to two when Justin Lawrence sniped one past JT"s glove again to put Ramuntos up 3-1 at 8:38 in the period. The Whalers Mike Avery was able to get his second of the game at 3:56 when he was set up back door by Jason Rouillard and Sam Bailey to make the score 3-2 Ramuntos. Shortly thereafter Ramuntos Justin Lawrence was able to block a shot in his defensive end and sprung line mate Matt Littler on a breakway who beat JT high blocker side to put Ramuntos up 4-2 with just a 1:10 left in the second period. Ramuntos ended the period up 4-2 but again JT held the Whalers in with a 13 save performance.

The third period started with Ramuntos picking up right where they left off and scoring again just 37 seconds into the period by Jason Mikula, put Ramuntos up 5-2. The Whalers were able to capitalize on a power play when Ryan Foss beat Tazzy high glove side to pull the Whalers with in two (5-3) but that is as close as it would get. Ramuntos was able to add a late empty net goal by Matt Littler to seal the deal and giving Ramuntos the 6-3 win.
