This week we see the fifth place Gamblers take on the sixth place Whalers. The Gamblers come into this week after a 6-1 blow out loss to Tuck and have been very inconsistent to date. The Gamblers have many new faces and just haven't found the team chemisty yet. The Gamblers are led offensively by Dan Ammel, Topo and Goose LaCroix.

The Whalers are coming off back to back shoot out losses and still looking for their first win of the season. The Whalers have gotten better each week but just can't figure out how to get a full roster their each night to avoid fatigue late in the game. The Whalers are led by Scotty Shaw, James Kerrigan and Woody Redpath.

The game will be back and forth but the Gamblers we prevail with a 6-4 win not allowing the Whalers to get there first win of the season.

The last game of the night saw the winless Whalers take on the Gamblers who have been inconsistent all season. The game opened up with some fast pace back and forth play as both teams were hungry for the win. The Gamblers were able to get on the board first when Topo LaCroix score after being set up by Goose LaCroix and Max Woods at 11:26. About half way through the period the Whalers tied the game on a shot from the point by Jonathan Stallsmith who beat a screened Ryan Van Schoick. The Whalers kept the pressure on and about three minutes later they took the lead on a Woody Redpath goal. The Gamblers had some good chances but couldn"t get them by Kenny Lallier as the period ended Whalers up 2-1.

The second period saw the Gamblers coming out hard and just like in the first period they were able to get the first goal. Ethan Gage tied the game on a low hard shot after being set up in the slot by Max Woods. Just 17 seconds after the Gamblers tied the game, the Whalers answered back on a goal from Scotty Shaw who was set up by Mike Avery and James Kerrigan. The Whalers continued to push to extend the lead more and they finally did at 6:39 when Scotty Shaw scored again. This time he was set up on the power play by James Kerrigan and Woody Redpath. Now that the Gamblers were trailing 4-2 they continued to fire pucks at Lallier from all angles. The Gamblers scored the game"s next goal at 3:44 when Brandon Guidotti scored on a 2 on 1 set up by Dan Ammel to put the Gamblers down by one. With a minute left in the period Max Woods was able to tie the game 4-4 on some pretty passing set up by Topo and Goose.

The Gamblers continued to build on the momentum from the end of the second period as they scored the go ahead goal at 12:35 by Topo LaCroix. The Gamblers kept the pressuring but they weren"t able to get another goal until the 6:40 mark when Goose scored off a Topo rebound. A minute later the Gamblers Ryan Bergeron let a shot go from the point that beat Lallier to put the Gamblers up 7-4. On the next face off after the goal, the Whalers answered back in just ten seconds as Mike Avery wins the race in to get the puck and passes it back to Jason Yehle, Yehle let a rocket go from the point that beats Van Schoick and pulls the Whalers within two. The Gamblers put the game out of reach for good about two minutes later when Goose gets the Gamblers final goal with assist to Topo and Max Woods. Although the Gamblers went down early in this game they battled back and hung on for a 8-5 win.
