Tuck outlasts Brew Crew, 3-2.

Tuck(9-3-1) hosted the Brewers(6-5-1) in the first game of the night in what has the potential to be the game of the year. With two offensively talented, yet inconsistent teams going head to head. The Brewers were showcasing such talents as Nicholas "The Bucket" Bayley(19g, 9a, 28pts), Christian "Head Down" Isaac(14g, 7a, 2pts), Dan "The Masshole" Charrette(5g, 8a, 13pts) & Alfonse "The Fonz" Sorrentino(2 PIMS). Tuck was also throwing out some of the best with Scotty "Hot to Trot" Turco(16g, 10a, 26pts), Peter "The Hands" Hanbury(5g, 14a, 19pts) & Adam "Michelin Man" Mantin(9g, 6a, 15pts).

The game started off with great flow back and forth for the first 3 minutes without either team registering a shot. Tuck was the first team to register a quality scoring chance when Chris "Rut-Vegas" Adams went to the box for elbowing at 10:31. The Tucksters moved the puck around the Brewers zone for most of the 2 minutes and only generated one good scoring opportunity. Another 5 minutes passed by before Bayley rung the far post with a quick wrist-shot through a screen with 5:34 remaining. Petey Hanbury returned the post at 4:21 when he beat Adams out of the corner, walked into the slot and let a wicked snap shot fly off of the near post.

Tuck finally broke through at 2:41 on Adams' second penalty of the period, for hooking, when Scotty Turco feathered a pass from the near boards to a streaking Ryan "The Drunken Irishman" McGovern who was coming in from the point. McGovern walked into a perfect air-mail pass and made a quick one timer-snap shot inside the post on a Petey "Giant Ball of Virgin" Bartline. Bartleyby didn't even have a chance. The remainder of the period was back and forth without much of a result.

END OF THE FIRST: Tuck 1, Brewers 0
SHOTS: Tuck 7, Brewers 11

Tuck started off the second period by ringing another post on Bartline just over a minute and a half into the second. Hank "The Tank" Bouchard went to the box at 12:40 for tripping Takashi "Micholob Ultra" Mikoshiba in front of Tuck's net, which actually resulted in more scoring chances for the Brewers' Isaac & Bayley than it did for Tuck. Chris Adams took his 3rd penalty of the game for Body Checking Brian "Speedy Gonzales" Fleming at center ice when Fleming was down on one knee. Adams was obviously trying to run the full range of penalties on the night, with a elbowing, hooking & body checking thus far, and therefore showing his versatility. Adams then proceeded to take his 4th & 5th of the night which is AMAZING when he went after Scotty Turco after the two exchanged some stick work. Adams then dropped the gloves and ripped off Turco's helmet trying to bait him into a fight, but the gentlemanly Harvardian wouldn't go. This gave Turco a roughing call and Adams a Fighting & Roughing to round out his night and putting the Brewers down a man for 5 minutes and 2:03 to play in the 2nd. The only other notable about the second would be that Bayley took a perfect breakaway pass from Isaac on the boards and was ROBBED by Ryan "Fancy Feet" Fitzgerald with a statue of Liberty glove save with under a minute to go.

END OF THE SECOND: Tuck 1, Brewers 0
SHOTS: Tuck 15, Brewers 19

Tuck started the 3rd with just under 3 minutes on the powerplay, and capitalized 33 seconds in to jump out 2-0 on a Peter "The Meat Beater" Hanbury goal when he jammed in a rebound of of Fleming's shot as he took the puck to the net. Nick Bayley cut the lead in half with 11:07 to play on a feed from Isaac & Sorrentino. The Brewers managed to tie the game up with 4:55 remaining when Chris "The Mouth" Johnson tipped in a sweet pass across the crease from an Isaac to Bayley combo super sized play with a side of Onion Rings.

Tuck jumped out again with only 1:19 remaining on a play that started in the neutral zone, when Hanbury found a streaking Turco at the Brewers blue line. Turco was forced to the corner by Kevin "Cro magnon" Calder and then cut back up the boards to feed Burkhart at the point. Burkhart notched the game winner with a wrist shot that was redirected by the Brewers Dan Charrette between Bartholomew's giant gaping five-hole.
