Mantin & Turco combine for 8 goals in a 10-3 Tuck win.

Tuck(6-1-0) hosted the Bruins(3-4-0) in the late game following McWhistle's reffing debut. Fortunately, for both teams, McWhistle decided to hang up the stripes for the night and let Gary Laperle make the calls.

The Bruins came out flying, determined to bring their record back up to .500, when Jordan "The Irish Assassin" McGee beat Ryan Fitzgerald only 62 seconds into the game. Matty "Milk Shake" Marrazzo put the Bruins up 2-0, taking a nice pass in the mid slot from Jordan McGee.

The Tuckeroonies cut the lead in half when Adam Mantin cleaned up a meatball from a Hanbury point shot with 5:41 remaining. The Bruins weren't about to lie down and went up 3-1 with 1:12 remaining when Jordan McGee "knocked it past Fitzgerald who was lounging spread eagle style on the ice." (Russ the scorekeeper / clock guy). Scotty "Tool Time" Turco got on the board only 12 seconds later by chipping in a Ben "Tha Govanah" Kennedy rebound to bring Tuck back within 1 goal.

END OF THE FIRST: 3-2 Bruins. SHOTS: Bruins 13, Tuck 13

"Tool Time" Turco opened up the 2nd period by lighting up Johnny "Swiss Cheese" Chamberlain just 14 seconds into the game. "Turco shows Chambo how they do things at Harvard. Finds lower left on the ice from the mid right slot." (Russ the scorekeeper / clock guy). Mantin put the Tucksters on top for good when Takashi Mikoshiba cut into the zone 2 on 0. Chamberlain made a nice first save, but Tak chipped the puck back to the low slot where Mantin was patiently waiting and put it far post past a down and out Chamberlain. The Tuck team didn't look back from there and continued to dominate a tiring Bruins squad. Petey "The Hands" Hanbury netted Tuck's 4th consecutive goal with 5:59 remaining in the 2nd, as he cut across the mid slot all alone and threw the puck back across the grade into a wide open upper corner. Beautiful goal, Chambo was down early.

END OF THE SECOND: 5-3 Tuck. SHOTS: Tuck 28 Bruins 19.

Tuck struck within the first minute again as they opened up the third period. It was a great individual effort as Hanbury picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone, cut to the near boards to beat 2 Bruins defenders and fed Mantin, for the hat trick, in front. Mantin reached out and chipped the puck up over Chambo's shoulder......and yes.....Chambo was down early again. Tuck was unrelenting, and went up 7-3 just 31 seconds later, on their 6th consecutive goal. Jamie Greenthal was camped out in front and received a perfect pass from Scotty Turco who was dancing around in the corner like a coked up ballerina. Greenthal one-timed the pass low blocker.

With Johny McGee in the box for Roughing at 10:15 of the 3rd, Tuck scored a beautiful, tick-tack-toe passing clinic goal. Tuck was set up for an umbrella powerplay with Burkhart running the point, Kennedy & Turco running the high arches and Hanbury & Martin down low. Burkhart & Kennedy played catch a couple of times, before Kennedy fired a perfect pass across the umbrella to Turco, who one-timed a perfect shot right on the ice past Chamberlain. It only took 10 seconds from the faceoff, and was a thing of pure beauty. That was Tuck's 7th unanswered goal in a row.

Mantin added his 4th goal of the night on another pass from Hanbury with 9:45 remaining to put Tuck up 9-3. Tuck scored their final goal with 8 minutes even remaining, when "Turco cut into the zone dipsy-do'd a couple of guys into the high slot and let go of a 100 mph slap shot upper corner, glove side. Chambo didn't even know what was coming." (Gary Laperle, Le Ref) Tuck pulled back a bit being up by 7, and started to work on puck control, passing, positioning, skating, high-fiving, hugging, dipsy-doing, looky-hereing & overall making the Bruins look like a Junior Varsity team.
