In tonight's Whalen Cup Championship game we have the top seed Blues hosting the 3rd seed Jacks. The Blues got into tonight's game by beating the Gamblers 6-3 in their semifinal game. The Jacks advanced by beating the Whalers 5-3. In the season series the Blues have taken 3 out of 4 games thus giving the Blues the advantage as they look to claim their first championship since 2011. The Jacks are still chasing their first championship title since joining the league in 2014. The game will be a goal-tending duel with the Blues edging out the Jacks by the score of 3-2 to claim their second championship in franchise history.

Lumberjacks Finally Break Through!

Since their inception in 2014, the Lumberjacks have continually been a powerhouse in the Upper Valley. Mixing skill with alcohol into a perfect hockey cocktail.  That cocktail was only good enough for second place until 2020.  Is there a coincidence that the Lumberjacks were winners around the same time a global pandemic was starting to emerge?  I don't think so.
