In the play in game, we had the 4th place Gamblers hosting the 5th place Tuck. This game for Tuck has been familiar territory and not a bad one since the last year they went on to win their 3rd straight championship (8 total). The Gamblers arrived with 3 full lines meanwhile Tuck only had 7 skaters most of the game since their 8th player forgot his skates. Although Tuck was short bench they would jump on the board first as Brodie Stone would put his team up 1-0 at the 11:01 mark. The Gamblers would answer back less then a minute later on a goal from Goose LaCroix at 10:13. The score would remain tied until 2:02 mark when Topo LaCroix would put the Gamblers up 2-1.
In the second the Gamblers would continue on with the scoring as Ryan Bergeron and Goose would put the Gamblers up 4-1 with 8 minutes remaining the period. Tuck would get on goal back as Carter Stewart would notch his first goal of the night to make the score 4-2. The Gamblers Will Meyer would close out the scoringi in the second with is goal with 6:18 remaining. The Gamblers would take a 5-2 lead into the 3rd period.
The Gamblers would continue to build on their lead as they would get goals from Jason Gramling, Goose LaCroix (3rd of the night) to go up 7-2. Tuck would get a goal back as Carter Stewart would get his second of the night to make the score 7-3. The Gamblers Max Woods would close out the scoring with 3 minutes remaining as the final score for the game was 8-3 Gamblers. The Gamblers advance on to play the 1st seed Blues on Tuesday in the first semi final game.
