In the first game of the night we had the Blues hosting the Gamblers. The Blues arrived with a very small bench meanwhile the Gamblers had three lines. The game would be back and forth but neither team would score, the Gamblers would out shoot the Blues 15-5 in the first period.
Although the Blues were out shot in the first the Blues would get on the board first with a goal from Ray Sprague at the 9:33 mark. The Gamblers didn't back down their pressure and just two minutes later Max Woods would tip a shot from the point past Jay Seals to tie the game at 7:33. The period would finish in a 1-1 tie heading into the 3rd. Like in the first period the Gamblers would out shoot the Blues 8-4.
In the third the Gamblers would keep pressuring the Blues for the go-ahead goal and it would finally happen at 8:43 mark on a goal from Goose LaCroix as he put home a rebound from the top of the slot. The Blues would make a push the final 5 minutes and eventually pull their goalie which resulted in a Gamblers empty net goal by Max Woods to seal the win for the Gamblers. The Gamblers would win the game 3-1 and it could have been a lot higher had Jay Seals of the Blues not made 30 saves.
