In the second game of the night we had the Gamblers hosting the Jacks. The Gamblers come into tonight off a 3-2 loss to the Whalers and the Jacks are coming off a 8-2 win over Tuck. The game started out with the Jacks taking a penalty less than a minute into the game, but it was the Jacks Tim Patten who would put his team up 1-0 on a shorthanded goal. The Gamblers would get another power play chance but again couldn't score, then the Jacks would get a couple Power Play chances of their own. The Jacks would go up 2-0 on a goal PP goal by Dillan Pierce at 4:29. Less than two minutes later Dillan would score his second goal of the night to put the Jacks up 3-0 with 2:45 remaining. The Gamblers would finally get on the board with a goal from sub Peter Scalia with 2:02 left in the period to make the score 3-1. The Jacks would go up 4-1 on a goal with 35 seconds left from Gary LaPerle to end the period.
In the second period the Jacks would get another goal from Tim Patten (his second of the game) at 13:06. The Gamblers would answer back with a goal from Travis Poublon at 10:25 mark to make the score 5-2 Jacks. The Gamblers would then get a power play chance and this time they would make it count as Matt Marrazzo would make the score 5-3 with 6:53 left in the period. The Jacks would go up 6-3 on a goal from Jordan McGee but the Gamblers Will Meyer would answer right back with a goal with just 32 second left to make the score 6-4 heading into the third.
In the third the score would remain the same, but the Gamblers were working hard to get closer. The Gamblers would get a late goal from Russ Teller with 1:30 left in the game. The Gamblers would pull their goalie but they could get full possession of the puck and the Jacks would score empty net goal by Jay Zanleoni. The Jacks would win this game by the score of 7-5.
