In the first game of the night we had the Blues hosting the Jacks. This was the second meeting between these two teams but the first time they actually played this year as the Jacks had to forfeit week one. The game started out with the Jacks Tim Patten scoring at 10:11 to go ahead 1-0. That didn't last long though as the Blues TJ Moran answered back 9 seconds later to tie the score at 1-1. The Score would remain tied until the Blues would go up 2-1 on a goal from Tim McAuliffe at 6:25. The period would come to an end with the score 2-1 Blues and the Blues were out shooting the Jacks 14-5.
In the second period the Jacks would again get on the scoreboard quickly this time it was Alex Boccolucci to tie the score at 2-2 just a minute and one second into the second. The blues TJ Moran would again (2 G) give his team the lead again at the exact same time as he did in the first period at 10:02. The Blues would then go up 4-2 on a shorthanded goal by Bart Moran with 6:49 remaining in the period. The Jacks would make the score 4-3 on a goal from Tim Patten (second of the night) at 3:52. The Blues Tim McAuliffe (second of the night) would get the last goal of the period to put the Blues up 5-3 heading into the 3rd period. Through two period of play the Jacks went 0-4 on the PP chances.
In the third it was again the Jacks who would score first, this time it was Jordan McGee who would make the score 5-4 with 10:10 remaining. The Blues would get their only power play chance in the third period and it only took them 32 seconds to score on the PP when Bubba put the blues up 6-4. The game would finish with the score being 6-4 Blues.
It should be noted that the Jacks were missing a few players, one being Jay Zanlenoi and the other being Ryan Libby. Tucker Garrity-Hanchett filled in and played well as he finished the night with 39 saves and kept the Jacks in the game. On the other end the Blues net-minder Jay Seals finished the night with 34 saves.
