In week two we have the Gamblers hosting and the Jacks (0-1). The Gamblers are playing their first game of the season and Jacks are coming off a hard fought 3-2 loss to the Blues. Last year these two teams split the season series 2-2 but it was the Jacks who won in the playoffs and advance to the Whalen Cup. This should be a close game as both teams will be ready to play. The edge goes to the Jacks as they have one game under their belt as they will win this game 4-2 over the Gamblers.

In the first game of the night we had the Gamblers hosting the Jacks. The game started out with the Gamblers jumping out to a quick led on a goal from Max Woods just under two minutes into the first period (13:06).  After giving up a quick goal the Jacks picked up their play and took it to the Gamblers. Alex Brands would score the games next two goals, his first coming at 8:19 and his second coming at 8:10, yes you are reading that correctly 9 seconds apart.  The period would end with the score 2-1 Jacks but those two quick goals took a lot of momentum from the Gamblers.

In the second period the Jacks came out buzzing and would add to their lead with a goal from Alex Brands at 13:22 to put the Jacks up 3-1.  Less than a minute later Jordan McGee would put the Jacks up 4-1. The score would remain the same until 5:14 when Dillan Pierce would put the Jacks up 5-1.  With the Jacks in charge of this game Alex Brands would score his 4 goal of the night with 1:14 put the Jacks up 6-1. 

Heading to the third the Gamblers didn't give up as they pushed back and got some power play chances but they couldn't get anything set up to capitalize.  The period would see a few more penalties for both teams and it wasn't until 2:40 left in the game the Gamblers would get a goal from Goose LaCroix to make the score 6-2.  The Jacks would go on to win the game by the score of 7-2 on a late goal from Dillan Pierce.
