In the first game of the night we had the Blues hosting Tuck. The Blues have already clinched first place for the season but they came ready to play as TJ Moran got the Blues on the board first with a breakaway goal at 11:42. Tuck wasted no time getting the goal back as Chris Mahoney tied the score 1-1 at 10:23 mark. The play would continue back to forth for the remainder of the period and with 5 seconds left in the period Tim McAuliffe would put the Blues up 2-1 with a shorthanded goal.
With the Blues up 2-1 to start the period the teams would continue to play hard which would lead to both teams taking a penalty a piece. Tuck would take a penalty at the 9:19 mark but the Blues couldn't score on the power play chance. After killing off the penalty Tuck was able to draw a power play chance of their own in which they would capitalize on with a goal from Andrew Cox with 4:55 remaining in the period. With the score tied 2-2 the Blues would push back and go up 3-2 on a goal from Tim Sharek with 2:56 left in the period. The period would end with the Blues leading 3-2 but the game was still anyone’s.
In the third Tuck picked up their play and it would result in them tying the game 3-3 on a goal from Jillian Apps at 11:01. Again the Blues wasted no time pushing back and getting a goal from Tyler White less than a minute later (10:13). With the Blues up 4-3 they would keep the pressure on and it would pay off as Brian Smith would put the Blues up 5-3 with 6:53 remaining in the period. With the Blues being up by two goals Tuck would take three penalties which would not help their chances of getting back in the game but they would get a late goal from Andrew Cox with 48 seconds left in the period to make the score 5-4 the Blues. Tuck would pull their goalie and fight hard for the last 48 seconds to tie the game but the Blues would hang on to win this game 5-4 and finish the season with an 11-2-1 record.
