In the first game of the night we have the Blues hosting the Whalers. The Blues are coming into this week after a 5-4 shoot out loss to the Jacks and the Whalers are coming into this week off a bye week. Look for the Blues to take control of this game early and cruise to a 5-1 win.

In the first game of the night we had the Blues hosting the Whalers. The Blues would come out firing often and it would take less than four minutes for them to get on the board with a goal from Ray Sprague. The Blues would keep the pressure on but the Whalers Aaron Mullen (who was filling in for Kenny) was turning shot away after shot. Aaron Mullen of the Whalers would end the period with 17 saves and to keep the Whalers in this game. The Whalers were trailing the Blues 1-0 after 15 minutes of play.

In the second period the Blues would be the first to strike again and this time it only took them 9 seconds as Reid Lesswing would put the Blues up 2-0. Again much like the first after letting up a quick goal the Whalers would pick up their play but again Aaron Mullen would come to their rest all period long keeping the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play.

To being the third period it was much like the first two, the Blues would get the first goal of the period, this time it was Mike Anderson extending the Blues lead to 3-0 with 10 minutes remaining in the game. The Whalers Ben Rouillard would get them on the board as he would score at 9:02 mark but after scoring a goal he got himself a 10 minute misconduct for running his mouth to the ref! Remember to respect the referees regardless if you disagree with their calls and if not you will find yourself out of the game and/or our league! The game would end with the final score of 3-1 Blues but it could have been a lot worst if the Whalers didn't have Aaron Mullen in net as he would finish the night with 41 saves!
