In the first game of the night we had the top two teams battling, the Blues hosting the Gamblers. Both teams came ready to play as they exchanged chances early in the period but it was he Blues TJ Moran who put the Blues up 1-0 with 8:21 remaining in the period. The Blues would then take a 3 penalties even giving the Gamblers a 5 on 3 but the Gamblers were not able to capitalize and the period would end with the score 1-0 after one period of play. Both goalies played were on their game tonight as the Blues Jay Seals had 17 saves in the first and the Gamblers Tucker Garrity-Hanchett had 10 saves.
In the second period the game would continue to be back and forth with both teams picking up their play. The Blues would give the Gamblers a PP chance but then the Gamblers would take 3 power play's, it wasn't until the last power play that the Blues Brian Smith was able to cash in and put the Blues up 2-0 with 4:56 left in the period. The period would end with the Blues up 2-0 heading into the third period but again both goalies were making saves to keep their teams in the game, the Blues Seals had 13 saves and the Gamblers had 9 saves.
In the third the Gamblers would take a penalty early but the Blues were not able to capitalize on the chance. Both teams would continue to exchange chances but it was the Blues Brain Smith who would put the Blues up 3-0 with 5:31 left in the period. With the Blues in control of this game they would add one more goal from Jason Mikula with 4:28 left in to put this game out of reach with a 4-0 lead. The Gamblers would get a goal late from Max Wood with 3:58 left in the game but that is at close as it would get. The Blues would go on to win the game by the score of 4-1 and the Blues Seals would finish the night with a total of 38 saves vs the Gamblers Garrity Hanchett who made 29 saves.
