In the second game of the night we had the Gamblers (1-2) hosting the Blues (2-1). The Gamblers had a full roster while the Blues were only able to muster up 8 skaters for the night which would come into play as the game progressed. In the first period both teams would exchange power plays but neither team could find the back of the net and the first period would end with a 0-0 score after one.
In the second the Blues would pick up their pace and go up 1-0 on a goal from TJ Moran at 11:34 mark in the period. The Gamblers would get a power play shortly after that they were able to get a power play goal from Ethan Gage who sniped the puck past the Blues goalie high blocker side at 7:40 to tie the score at 1-1. The Gamblers would go up 2-1 on a similar goal by Max Woods with 5:06 left in the period. The period would end with the score 2-1 Gamblers.
In the third the Blues came out fast as Tyler White tied the score at 2 just 30 seconds into the period. The Gamblers would build some momentum off that goal and go up 3-2 on Ethan Gage's second goal of the night at 13:46 mark. The Blues would then get into penalty trouble and the Gamblers would capitalize on the power play on a goal from Aaron Kesselman at 10:47. Then 37 seconds later Aaron Kesselman would put the Gamblers up 5-2 on an unbelievable individual effort as he would score from the corner behind the red line with 10:10 remaining in the period to make the score 5-2. These two quick goals took the wind out of the Blues sail and their short bench was starting to show. The Gamblers would get one more to goal from Will Meyer with 5:26 remaining to make the final score 6-2.
