These two teams come into this week tied with Tuck for first place. Ramuntos started the season out with a three game winning streak to only see it be snapped last week by Tuck. Last week was the first time they didn't have the team chemistry and took too many penalites costing them two goals on the power play.

The Lumberjacks have done the complete opposite, they lost their first game and have won three straight. Last week they beat the Gamblers when they exploded for a four goals in the third period. The Jacks are coming in hot and playing well as team. This game will be a tight game and fun game to watch, Ramuntos will rebound and win this one 5-2.

This game was between two first place teams playing head to head for the first time this year. Both teams came out with a fast pace and end to end action. It took over ten minutes of back and forth hockey until the Lumberjacks got the games first goal at 4:46 from Tim Patten who was set up by Marc Gattie. Gattie hit Patten in the neutral zone who then worked his magic around the defense and beat Matt Albertazzi high glove side. Ramuntos picked up the play after giving up the goal but the Lumberjacks fill in goalie, Ryan Libby had the answer. The period ends with the Jacks up 1-0 after one.

The second period saw the Jacks come out even harder then the first looking for that second goal of the game. The Jacks second goal came at 13:07 from Loren Lunt after being set up by Jay Zanieoni and Jordan McGee. With the Jacks pressing hard to extend the lead, Ramuntos couldn't keep up and got called for a penalty. On the power play the Jacks were able to extend the lead to 3-0 on a goal from Sean Murphy as Jordy made a nice pass from behind the net to Murphy in the slot who put it home past Tazzi. The Jacks continued to control the play forcing Ramuntos to ice the puck and they were not able to sustain offensive pressure, this was very unlike the Ramuntos team of the past couple weeks. The Jacks went up 4-0 at the 3:05 mark in the second, when Sean Murphy got his second of the night beating Tazzi low blocker side after some tic tac toe passing in the offensive end. At this point Ramuntos was very frustrated that they couldn't get anything going, the period ended with the Jacks up 4-0.

After regrouping in between periods Ramuntos came out pressuring and getting things set up in the offensive end, they were able to get their first goal at 11:32 in the period as Terence Moran tipped a Dan Charette from the point. Ramuntos continued to pressure and were able to get their second goal from Mathew Littler just three minutes later to cut the lead to 4-2. Ramuntos continued to pressure but the Jacks were focused on defending the lead and playing smart. The Jacks put the game out of reach with 1:54 left in the game as they got their fifth goal from Jordan Mcgee and just eight seconds later from Loren Lunt put the Jacks up 6-2. Ramuntos was able to get another goal late from Justin Lawrence as the Jacks cruised to a 6-3 win.
