Both teams are coming off losses last week and looking for there first win of the season. The Gamblers are coming off a 3-2 shoot out loss and while the Whalers are coming off a 8-4 thumping.

The Gamblers came out strong but fatigue got the best of them late in the game vs Tuck. The Gamblers were led by Matty Marrazzo with 2g and is need of some offensive help from the rest of the team.

The Whalers came out with the quick lead but fell behind and never got back in the game. They have some new faces and are still adjusting with all the roster moves.

This game will be entertaining as both teams will being playing hard and looking for the first win of the season but the Gamblers will take this one 4-2.

With both teams coming of losses last week both teams were ready to play. The Whalers got the game"s first goal just 27 seconds in, off a shot from Jason Yehle which pin balled in from the point as Ryan Van Schoick didn"t see it with all the traffic in front of him. The Gamblers pushed backed and started peppering Kenny Lallier (17 saves in the 1st period) and finally broke through with a goal at 5:43 in the first by Josie Fisher assisted by Dan Ammel and Jason Young. Although the Gamblers continued to pressure the Whalers, the Whalers were the ones to strike again this time with 55 seconds left in the period. Woody Redpath buried a rocket high glove side off a nice one timer pass from Scotty Shaw.

The second period saw both teams playing hard but there was no scoring in the second frame. Both the Whalers and the Gamblers were getting chances but the goalies where hot , Kenny Lailler had 13 save and Ryan Van Schoick had 11.

As the third period started you could see both teams frustration had carried over from the second as they both came out hungry looking for more goals. At 13:48 of the third the Gamblers Goose LaCroix and the Whalers Dillan Pierce were both sent to the penalty box with matching roughing penalties. The Whalers scored again with Woody Redpath getting his second of the night at 12:50 in the third from Scotty Shaw and James Kerrigan. It didn"t take long for the G-man to answer as just 40 seconds later Cody Dodds lit the lamp with a nice pass from Topo LaCriox and Ryan Bergeron. About a minute later Gary Smith tied the game after getting a nice pass from Dan Ammel and Josie Fisher. With the Gamblers tying goal they started to feel more confident and playing even harder. The Gamblers took the lead on a Dan Ammel goal at 6:41 in the third with a nice pass from Matty Marrazzo. Just two minutes later the Gamblers scored again as Topo LaCroix worked hard from his knees to get an unbelievable pass across the front of the net to Matty Marrazzo who knocked it home for the 5-3 lead. The Gamblers finished the game hard and didn"t allow any more goals as it looked like the Whalers had run out of steam after being up 3-0 going into the third.
