Tuck Dominates Gamblers 7-0

The Gamblers hit rock bottom tonight in a 7-0 ass whooping at the hands of the Tuckies. It was an absolute schallacking, something the Gamblers have never experienced since rebranding the Bruins team to the Gamblers back in 2009-2010. One Gambler's defenseman was quoted as saying mid-game "Holy shit, these guys are REALLY good."

The Turduckens were a well-oiled machine tonight, pummeling the Gamblers like one of those sex machines from one of the dirty websites that commissioner Shawn "McLovin" McDermott visits on a daily basis.

The first period wasn't too bad as the game remained scoreless without a penalty but Tuck still carried play and managed to outshoot the Gamblers 11-7. Things turned in the second period as the Tuckerdoodles deposited 6 goals past the Gamblers' Ryan Van Schoik. Harrington scored all 4 of his goals in the 2nd frame and got things started just 43 seconds in.

Harrington's new BFF, Jed "Old" McDonald assisted on all of his goals on the night. The first goal came off of a nice drop pass leavving Harrington in the slot all alone, he beat Van Schoik with a quick snapper. McDonald fed Harrington again at 11:11 and then Mark "Deke-master" Devooght had an epic highlight goal as he brought the puck up center ice, split the defense and roofed a backhander on Van Schoik.

After that 3rd goal things took a distinct turn as Van Schoik seemed to lose focus and let in a trio of weak goals right along the ice from bad angles. It wasn't Van Schoik's best game but there were quite a few things that went wrong in this one for the Gamblers. The G-Men turned the puck over frequently, lost most 1 on 1 battles and didn't seem engaged. They weren't prepared for the relentless hustle that Tuck brought and seemed to be holding onto the puck a little bit too long. John Dawson made it 4-0 at 4:42 followed by two from Harrington to put Tuck up 6-0 closing out the second period. Tuck outshot the Gamblers 14-7 in the period.

The Gamblers made some adjustments in the 3rd and other than a John Curran goal just 1:05 in kept the period scoreless and actually outshot the Tuckies 10-8. Things did turn a bit ugly after Jason "Never-A-Wrister" Young took a bad, dangerous and stupid penalty with a full blown hit on Curran that bordered on boarding at 8:14. Tuck's Devooght retaliating with a body check after the whistle, sending Young to the ice. Young then responded by jumping up and throwing some punches. It was more of a grappling mask with Devooght's helmet coming off and both were sent off for fighting. Astonishingly Young couldn't understand why Devooght had roughed him up as he was ushered off the ice.

Things calmed down a little bit after that incident, but the Gamblers added two more penalty kills to their rough night giving themselves zero chance of terminating Devine's shutout bid.

Devine was good but wasn't really called upon to make any highlight saves but still earned a 3rd star of the night for staying focused and recording a shutout. McDonald was a passing machine and earned the 2nd star for his impressive night and Harrington of course takes home the first star for throwing 4 into the cage.
