Gamblers Put to The Test By Brewers, Win 3-1

The Gamblers were held to a season low 3 goals by the Brewers tonight in an amazing effort by the Brewers Greg "Red Light" Bin Feiden. "Feiden played out of his mind and kept them in the game the whole night" recalled the Gamblers Player-Captain-General Manager-President&CEO Willy "Mighty Mouse" Meyer.

The Gamblers were relentless, outshooting the Brewers 41-13, but the Brewers kept a good portion of the shots to the perimeter and Feiden did the rest, stopping 12-15 solid scoring chances. Feiden only allowed three goals against a team that was averaging 9.5 goals per game before tonight, earning yet another first star of the game and Player Of the Week nomination.

Martin "Tomahawk" Tomanik had points on all three goals for the Gamblers, earning himself a second star, but his performance could not out-duel Feiden for the first star of the Game.

The Gamblers also received a player of the game performance from their goaltender Jeremy Seidling who had to fight off bouts of fatigue, seeing only 13 shots on the night and saving 12. The ability to see less than a shot every 3 minutes and still stay sharp enough to only allow one goal has to account for something, and a third star is the recognition he gets.

The Brewers were able to break Seidling's shutout bid, with under 2 minutes remaining in the game, and ruining Seidling's bid for Men's League glory with the scarce shutout.

NOTE: The Whaler's Jay "Zamboni" Zanleoni played in all three games, scoring at least a goal in each and six total goals on the night.
