ODDS: | Brewers by 1 goals |
OVER/UNDER: | 9.5 goals |
LAST WEEK:
The Brewers pulled out a solid 4-2 win over the Bruins after going down 2-0 in the first. The Nordiques were completely and utterly outplayed & outclassed by the Storm Kings in 12-4 loss.
GOALTENDING:
Turner didn't fare very well last week, letting up 5 goals on 22 shots while and their fill in Chamberliain was even worse, letting in an eye-popping 7 on 18 shots. Bartline was great last week letting in only 2 goals on 21 shots by a weak Bruins offense. I'm expecting Turner to bounce back this week, and Bartline to be stellar as well. There are rumors that Bartline may have lost his virginity over the break to one of his cousins, and now is able to focus just on hockey.
OFFENSE:
I'd have to say that the Brewers have the edge here, with Bayley & Isaac paving the way 27 and 20 points respectively. The Nordiques, hurting with the loss of Kelly Park are led by Ian Coates(19 points), Roger Phillips(18 points) & Greg Marsh(15 points). Bayley seems to have lost that fire that made him such an individual threat back in the day, while Isaac seems to be an unstoppable force when he gets his legs going.
DEFENSE:
Depends on who shows up......the Brewers are solid with Sean McCabe, Dave Mullins, Kevin Calder & Dan Charrette anchoring their blue line, but the Nords have Dakai, Melrose, Crapser & McDermott defeinding their zone. The edge may go to the Brewers due to their latest signing of Dave Mullins who has been excellent for them.
OVER ALL PREDICTION:
The Nordiques were horrible last week, so bad that I can't bring myself to think that they have anything left.......Brewers win 5-4.
