The Chamberlain Wall shuts down buzzing Maple Leafs.
It was the battle of the basement. Well at least from the 2006-2007 season, but it turned out to be a very exciting game. The Bruins jumped out to an early lead just 1 minute and 23 seconds into the game behind goaltender turned forward Greg "The OOZE" Hadley low backhander past Kenny "French Bread" Lallier. One minute later, Bruins star Matty "The Milkman" Marrazzo tapped in a rebound from a Jordan McGee shot.
The game went scoreless for the next 22 minutes as the Maple Leafs amounted a ferocious forecheck and shot frenzy. John Chamberlain, a giant behemoth of a goalie turned away shot after shot until Sean "The Little Smurf Turd Eating Midget" Cassssavante beat Chambo on a play that I didn't see, I'm sure that the goal was PURE ASS LUCK and that he probably lost the puck stick handling like the little troll that he is and by accident fell on the puck dragging it into the net with him.....or something like that, I guess I wasn't paying attention because I didn't really think Sean would score.....sorry guys.
The Leafs continued to buzz, peppering the big goalie with shots for the next 14 minutes when the Leafs cornerstone, Todd "Chip Shot" Nalette managed to cash in on a rebound off of a Joey Hayes. 35 seconds later Bruins Rookie Jordan McGee found a puck in the slot that required him to make a nifty wrap / turn-around shot to the net beating Le Lallier 5-hole.
The Bruins closed out the last 2:45 seconds with good defensive hockey to secure the 3-2 win.
