Storm Kings barrage Tuck 7-3
This highly anticipated match up was a tight fought, nail biter, despite the final 7-3 score. The Storm Kiings looked sharp early, fresh off of their last-week win over the Bruins. The needed all of their offensive weapons as Tuck played a solid game. The defensive highlight was surely Tuck netminder, Anik Cote. She was acrobatic and spectacular for two periods. Dean Cashman was the first to find the back twine on a nice touch-pass from visiting player, Eric Dement at 13:28. Tuck forward Brian Flemming knotted things up at 1-all with an unassited tally a minute later. (12:26) The game stayed locked at 1 for the remainder of the first and asolid four minutes into the second. The always dangerous sniper, Sean Coakley who absolutely buried a one-timer from Cashman and Murphy at 12:35. Ryan Burkhart brought things even with an unassisted gem, tucking one under Frenchy at 10:24. The second period ended as the first, a tie game (2-2) In the third period, Kinger Dan Bullock beat Cote after a nice move and tap-in from Murphy and Gosselin at 14:10. Tuck once again kept pace at 8:18 with Hanrahans goal from Roomet. Tuck goalie Cote was able to keep the game close with some great saves. After 50 or more shots the Kings finally pulled away with 4 unanswered goals. Artie Stout, from Hogg and Gosselin 6:32; Eric Dement, from Hogg and Gosselin 6:10; Coakley, from Dement at 2:44; and Adam Hogg, from Scull and Gosselin 1:55.
