The Gamblers host the Jacks tonight looking to even the season series at 2 games apiece. Historically these are two evenly matched teams despite a 7-2 blowout by the Jacks in October.

The last two meetings were 1 goal games with the Gamblers defeating the Jacks 1-0 in late November and the Lumberjacks downing the G-Men 4-3 in mid-December. Two very good goaltenders will be manning the crease with the Lumberjack's Ryan "The Liberator" Libby (7-3-0 & 2.60 GAA) and Ryan "Rip" Van Schoick (6-3-0 & 2.67 GAA) facing off.

The 'Jacks are powered by 4 players in the top 10 in scoring; Jordan "McBreakaway" McGee (16pts), Alex Brands (14 pts), Tim Patten (11pts) & Nico Brands (10 pts). The Gambler's Ryan "Goose" LaCroix is the only Gambler in the top 10 with 11 points.

This should be a great game! 

In the first game of the night the Jacks hosted the Gamblers. The game opened up with the Gamblers jumping out to a 1-0 lead with a goal from Topo LaCroix a minute and 27 seconds into the game. The Gamblers would quickly go up 2-0 on a goal from Max Woods another minute later (12:22). The Gamblers would remain in the front 2-0 until the Jacks would get a goal from Brian Gattie with 3:15 left in the period. The period would end with the score 2-1 Gamblers heading into the second period.

In the second period the Jacks would waste no time tying the game at 2-2 on a goal from Joe Gaudet at 11:35 mark. The Gamblers Max Woods would answer the call with his second goal of the night at 9:21 to put the Gamblers up 3-2. Less then two minutes later Matt Marrazzo would put one past Libby to make the score 4-2 with 7:34 remaining. With what seemed like the Gamblers being in charge with a two goal lead would quickly change as Matt Marrazzo would get called for TWO hooking penalties on the same play. With a 4:00 minute power play the Jacks would get both goals back as Joe Gaudet would score his second of the night on the first part of the PP and then Alex Brands would score on the back half of the PP to tie the score at 4-4 with 1:34. The period would end with the score tied at 4-4 but the Gamblers were left speechless as they seemed to be in control of that period until the penalties taken by Marrazzo.

With the score tied at 4-4 the game was anyone's, the Gamblers would get a power play chance early in the period but they couldn't get anything set up to muster any shots on goal. Then the Jacks would get a PP chance with 10:10 remaining but they also couldn't find the back of the net. The teams would return back to even play but the Jacks would get another PP chance with seven minutes remaining. While on the power play the Jacks got a few chances but this time the Jacks would take a penalty of their own to end that chance and return to 4 on 4 play. The score would remain the same until 5:47 when Joe Gaudet would notch is third goal of the night this time short handed. The Jacks had all the momentum now and with 2:18 left in the game Jordan McGee would seal the deal with his goal, putting the Jacks up 6-4. The Gamblers would get some last minute shots but they couldn't be Libby late when it mattered as the Jacks would win the game 6-4.
