In the final game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting the Jacks. Both teams come into tonight off of wins last week, the Gamblers with a 10-2 win over the Nords and the Jacks with a 5-3 win over the Whalers. This game will be a good test for both teams as both teams are 2nd and 3rd in the standings, the Gamblers will come out with a 4-3 win.

In the final game of the night we have the Lumberjacks hosting the Gamblers. Both teams come into tonight off of wins last week, the Gamblers with a 10-2 win over the Nords and the Jacks with a 5-3 win over the Whalers. Off the opening faceoff the Jacks got control and broke into the Gamblers zone but the Gamblers defense broke up the play. The defense made a pass to Dan Ammel, who hit Jason Gramling who gave it to Matty Marrazzo who skated up the side boards and roofed one past Chris Pelkey"s glove 29 seconds into the game. It wouldn"t take long for the Jacks to answer back as Tim Patten would score 33 seconds later on a nice pass from Colby Laperle. After a few minutes of run and gun hockey things settle downed and the Gamblers would grab the games next two goals, the first coming from Ethan Gage at 9:01 and the second from Ian Stelzener with 5:58 left in the period. With the Gamblers up 3-1 late in the period and on a power play it looked as they would head into the second with at least a 3-1 lead if not a 4-1 lead, but the Jacks thought differently as Jordan McGee would make the score 3-2 on a shorthand goal with just 11 seconds left in the period. The period would end with the score 3-2 Gamblers and both goalies were playing well, the Jacks Chris Pelkey finished with 13 saves and Ryan Van Schoick would finish with 5.

In the second period the Gamblers came out with time left on the power play looking to extend their lead, they were unable to on the PP but they would score the games next two goals. The first goal of the period would come at 10:40 from Topo LaCroix and the second just would be scored 25 seconds later by Max Woods. With the Gamblers up 5-2 with 10:15 to play in the second the Jacks didn"t give up, they kept playing hard and getting more chances on the Gamblers Van Schoick. At the 5:25 mark the Gamblers took a penalty and then gave up a power play goal by Jay Zanleoni with 4:21 left in the period. With the score now 5-3 the Jacks were able to gain some momentum as Tim Patten would score his second of the night at the 3:46 mark and make the score 5-4. The Jacks would tie the game just 41 seconds later when Jordan McGee got his second of the night. The Gamblers would have the final say in the period as Ben Peters would put the Gamblers up 6-5 with a 1:24 left in the period. The period would end with the Gamblers up 6-5 and both goalies were tested as their wasn"t much defense in front of them, Jacks Pelkey finished with 18 saves in the period (two period total of 31 saves) and Gamblers Van Schoick with 12 saves (two period total of 17).

Heading into the third with the Gamblers up 6-5, the G-men were able to add to their lead when Max woods scored his second of the night at 12:43. A minute after the Gamblers went up 7-5 they were called for a penalty, 38 seconds into the PP the Jacks Marc Gattie beat Van Schoick from the point to make the score 7-6 Gamblers. The score would remain 7-6 Gamblers for most of the period and with 24 seconds left the Gamblers took a penalty giving the Jacks a PP for the last 24 seconds. On the PP the Jacks won the faceoff and with quick puck movement the Jacks Colby Laperle was able to tie the game 5 seconds into the PP. This game would head into a shootout as neither team could score in the remaining 19 seconds. With the score tied at 7 we headed to a shootout. The Jacks Chris Pelkey finished the period with 16 saves and a total of 47 saves, the Gamblers Van Schoick finished with 10 saves and a total of 27 saves.
