In the final game of the night the Gamblers host the Nordiques. The Nords come into tonight off a 7-5 win over Whalers and the Gamblers are coming into tonight off a 6-2 loss to the Jacks. The game opened up with some back and forth action as each team was looking for the game"s first goal. The Gamblers Max Woods opened up the games scoring on a breakaway as he beat JT high blocker side at 10:34 to put the G-men up 1-0. The Gamblers Dan Ammel would then put the G-men up 2-0 after a bad turn over by the Nords defense. The Nords Stu Grande would cut the G-men led to one after he danced around the Gamblers defense and snuck the puck 5-hole on Ryan Van Schoik just 57 seconds later. The Nords would tie the game 73 seconds on a Roger Phillips goal as he was set up by line mate James Solon. The Nords then took the lead with 1:38 left in the period on a Jay Zanleoni goal as he was subbing in for the Nords. The Gamblers Max Woods was able to tie the game up 3-3 just 30 seconds later. It looked the period was going to end tied 3-3 but the Nords Kelly Park was able to get one last goal in the period as scored with just a 11 seconds left to put the Nords up 4-3.

As the second period started it should have been an indication how the game would be all night as each team exchanged a series of goals again in the second. The Gamblers were able to get on the score board first as Brandon Guidotti tipped in a shot from the point just 27 seconds into the period to tie the score at 4. The Gamblers kept the pressure on and this time it was Ethan Gage who scored on a wrist shot high over JT"s blocker at 11:57 to put the G-men up 5-4. About a minute later the Nords answered back as Pierce Mayhew tied the game at 5 as he was set up backdoor. The scoring came to a holt as neither team could score until about 5 minutes left in the period when Jay Zanleoni was able to sneak in backdoor and beat Van Schoick high glove side and put the Nords up 6-5. The Gamblers were able to tie it up before the period end as Max Woods got his third goal of the night with 3:18 remaining in the second period. The score would remain tied 6-6 heading into the third.

In the third period the G-men came out hungry as their aggression paid off at 11:58 as Topo LaCroix was able to put the G-men up 7-6 when JT came out to play the puck at the hash marks of the faceoff circle and ran into some confusion with his defense. With the Nords all distraught after giving up an easy goal, the G-men kept the pressure on which lead to a Matt Marrazzo breakaway goal just a 70 second later to put the G-men up 8-6. The Nords would answer back at 7:38 left in the game when Roger Phillips got his second of the night and pulled the Nords within one. The Gamblers Max Woods would score his fourth goal of the night (shorthanded) to put the G-men up 9-7. Max"s shorthanded goal would be the icing on the cake as the G-men would win the game 9-7 and clinch the 3rd seed for the playoffs. With the loss the Nords clinched the 5th seed for the playoffs.
