Brewers remain unbeaten behind 6 goal 3rd period in 10-4 win over Kings.

The two remaining undefeated teams, Storm Kings & Brewers, faced off tonight in an epic battle for the ages. Powered by the sweet nectar of the Gods, BEER, the Brewers came out on top as they drank their way to a SOLID 10-4 win where the Brewers Nick "Dr. Dish" Bayley re-established himself as a premier player in the UVHL. Bayley walked away with 9 points(2 goals & 7 assists) on the night, but the real story of the night was the EMERGENCE of Alfonse "THE FONZ" Sorrentino. Sorrentino popped in 3 goals and an assist in the effort and was nominated for the 1st star on the evening. Rumors have it that The Fonz popped a viagra and turned up his pace maker so that he could reach the next level of play. "He is on FIRE, and looks great out there for a 100 year old man" said team mate Dan Charrette. Al's play was nothing less than inspirational, like watching a legless man win an an ass-kicking competition. Way to go Al !!!!!!

The Storm Kings, without superstar Robbie "Bob" Barker in their lineup, played a great game through the first two periods and were within a goal at the end of the second period. That one goal deficit was within reach before the Brewers EXPLODED into an offensive frenzy, scoring 6 goals in the last frame, not to mention the last 5 goals of the game. Petey "Fish Nets" Bartline put aside 27 Kinger shots on his way to his 28th career win. The Brewers also received some solid production from defenseman Joey "Anger Management" Lyle(1g, 2a) & Davey "Seven Goal Wonder" Mullins(2g, 2a).

The Storm Kings received some nice production from new addition Matty "The Milkman" Marrazzo(2g, 1a, 2PIMS), Deano "The Bank" Cashman(1g, 1a) & Ronnie "The Angry Dwarf" Dupuis(1g, 1a, 10PIMS) who was ejected midway through the game for scuffling with Christian "The Socially Awkward Doctor" Isaac who has at least 6 inches and 70 lbs on Dupuis. Dan French "Fry" wasn't at his best, but was able to turn away 36 shots from the Brew Crew while receiving little help in his defensive zone.

The Storm Kings jumped out in front with 11:38 remaining in the first when "The Milkman" Marrazzo finished off of a Ronald "The Sprite-like Swift Skating Goal Scorer" Dupuis pass. The Drunken Brew Crew bounced back with two "FONZY" goals just 15 seconds apart, both off of Bayley feeds. The Kingers tied the game up with only 56 seconds to go when Dupuis took a Marrazzo pass and made Bartline look like a little school girl that had just wet her pants .

END OF THE FIRST: Storm Kings 2, Brewers 2
SAVES: French(SK) 8, Bartline(BREW) 11

The Kingers jumped out to a lead just over 2 and a half minutes into the 2nd period behind Marrazzo's 2nd goal of the game, unassisted, and 64th of his career. That was about as good as it was going to get for the Storm Kings as the Brewers flipped the switch and turned on the jets. The Brew Crew netted the next 2 goals at 10:53 and 9:29 from Mullins & Hank "The Tank" Bouchard.

END OF THE SECOND: Storm Kings 3, Brewers 4
SAVES: French(SK) 19, Bartline(BREW) 16

The Brewers jumped on top of an exhausted Storm Kings squad just 13 seconds in when Chris "Big" Johnson took a Bayley pass and beat The French One with a quick snapper. Dean "The Banker" Cashman muscled through some coverage in front to jam home a a Marty "Whitebeard" White rebound. This is the point where the Brewers brought a keg of Long Trail's newest concoction onto the bench. The concoction is called "Long Trail: HGH, Nectar of the God's." This new amber brew seemed to pick things up as the Brewers mounted the next 5 goals behind a pair from Bayley, Sorrentino's Hat Trick completer, Mullin's 2nd of the game & Joey Lyle's 1st career goal in 100 games.

END OF REGULATION: Storm Kings 4, Brewers 10
SAVES: French(SK) 36, Bartline(BREW) 26
