In the second game of the night we had the Jacks (0-1) hosting Tuck (1-0). Both teams showed up with short benches and the Jacks had to ask for two subs from the Whalers so they could have two complete lines. The first period was back and forth with both teams having plenty of chances but both goalies (Tuck's-Farr, Jacks-Libby) finished the periods with 11 saves a piece to keep the score tied at zero.

In the second period the play would remain the same until 13:16 as Tuck would take a penalty and give the Jacks a chance on the power play. The Jacks were unable to score on the PP but about half way through the period sub Ben Rouillard would put the Whalers up 1-0.  The period would end with the score 1-0 Jacks heading into the third as Libby turned away 9 shots and Farr turned away 7 in the second.

In the third both teams picked up their play as Tuck was desperately trying to tie the game and the Jacks were trying to extend their lead. The play would remain back and forth with chances as the score would remain 1-0. The Jacks would take a penalty with 4:38 left in the period but they were able to kill the penalty off and hold on to win the game by the score of 1-0!  Yes you read that correctly, a men's league game that had a shutout in it.  Both goalies played very well as Jacks Ryan Libby finished the night with 33 saves and Tuck's Colin Farr finished with 30 saves.
