Box Score
Game ID: 1178

In the second game of the night we had the Whalers hosting Tuck. Tuck showed up with a full bench and the Whalers only had 7 skates and a goalie, the numbers would play a big factor in this game. The two teams would exchange a few chances early in the period but then it was Tuck who would pick up their play half way through the period, Tuck's Matt Salmon would get Tuck on the board first at 7:39.  The score would remain 1-0 until 54 second remaining in the period when Tuck's Mark Rinaldi would put Tuck up 2-0 heading into the second period.  The Whalers fill in goalie Tucker Garritty-Hanchett made 14 saves in the first compared to Tucks Colin Farr's 4 saves.

In the second period it was all Tuck again as Tuck's Chris Pericak would put Tuck up 3-0 just 20 seconds into the period. The goals would continue to come from Tuck as Marc-Olivier Fullum Precourt would extend the lead to 4-0 at 13:17.  Tuck's Mark Rinaldi would get his second goal of the night with 7:52 left in the period and extend the score to 5-0.  Tuck would get two more goals, the sixth goal was scored by Manny Vezina at 6:49 and the seventh goal was scored by Brent Bates.  The period would end with the score 7-0 after two but if it wasn't for the Whalers Garritty-Hanchett making 19 saves alone in the second period the score could have been a lot worst.

In the third the story was no different as the Whalers were gassed and couldn't get anything going, Tuck would add three more goals in the third. The eighth goal was scored by Radim Jaros, the 9th was scored by Mark Rinaldi (for the hat trick) and the tenth goal was scored by Andrew Cox.  The game would end with Tuck winning by the score of 10-0. The Whalers Garritty-Hanchett would finish the game with 44 saves on the night.
