In the first game of the night we have the Jacks (1-5) hosting the Whalers (1-4). The Jacks come into this week off a 12-2 thumping by the Gamblers and the Whalers are coming in off their first win of the season over the Blues! Look for this game to be a battle but the Whalers will take it over late winning the game by the score of 6-4.
In the first game of the night we had the Jacks (1-5) hosting the Whalers (1-4). The Jacks showed up with a full bench and ready to play as they would get on the scoreboard first as Tim Patten would make the score 1-0 at 13:47. The Jacks would keep the pressure on and go up 2-0 on a goal by Sean Murphy at 8:22. The Whalers would then answer back quickly on a goal from Josh Cascadden at 8:05 to make the score 2-1 Jacks. The teams would settle down and it would be the Jacks Jordan McGee who would put the Jacks up 3-1 at 5:21. The Jacks would add one more goal from Sean Murphry (2nd of the night) at 4:53 to make the score 4-1. The period would end with the Jacks up 4-1 and in control of the game.
In the second period the Jacks came out just as hungry and put in 4 more goals in the first seven minutes of play to make the score 8-1 Jacks. The goals were scored by Gary Laperle (10:50), Jordan McGee (8:49), Tim Patten (6:50), and Sean Murphy for the hat trick (5:03). The Whalers would then answer back with three goals of their own to make the score 8-4 Jacks; the Whaler's goals were scored by Roger Phillips (4:41), Jason Yehle (3:17), and Roger Phillips (1:28). The Jacks Jordan McGee would add one more goal before the period was over with just 55 seconds left to make the score 9-4 Jacks heading into the third.
Heading into the third with the Jacks in control of this game they would add to their led as Will Olmstead would score at 10:35 mark and Justin Laperle would add another goal at 8:06 to make the score 11-4. The Whalers Roger Phillips would get his 3rd goal of the night at 6:22 to complete the hat trick and make the score 11-5 Jacks. The Jacks Sean Murphy would get his 4th goal of the night with 3:26 remaining in the game to make the score 12-5. The Whalers would close out the score at 2:29 when Ryan McGovern made the score 12-6 and that is how this barn burner would end.
