In the second game of the night we have the Blues (3-2) hosting the Whalers (0-4). The Blues come into this week off of a 4-3 win over the Jacks and the Whalers are coming off a 6-5 loss to the Gamblers. In the first meeting this year the Blues cruised to a 7-4 win, if the Blues can show up with a full roster this game will go to the Blues, if not then look for the Whalers to be feisty and go on to win their first game of the season by the score for 4-3.

In the second game of the night we had the Blues (3-2) hosting the Whalers (0-4). The Blues come into this week off of a 4-3 win over the Jacks and the Whalers are coming off a 6-5 loss to the Gamblers.  Both teams showed up with full benches tonight and ready to play, the Blues would get on the board first on a goal from Matt Littler at the 8:01 mark in the period. The Whalers would tie the score with 4:22 left in the period on a goal by Roger Phillips.  The first period would come to an end with the score tied 1-1 and the play was very even. 

In the second period the Whalers would pick up their play but it wouldn't show on the scoreboard as  the Blues Tyler White would score with 9:27 remaining in the period to make the score 2-1.  This would be the only goal of the period but the Whalers would outshoot the Blues 15-8 as both teams took some penalties late in the period but neither team could capitalize. 

In the third with the Whalers came out fast from the opening faceoff which resulted in the Blues taking a penalty early in the period. On that power play the Whales only need 5 seconds to tie the score at 2-2 on a goal from Jason Yehle with 14:24 left in the period. After giving up the tying goal the Blues had a hard time staying calm and it would result in them taking 5 more penalties over the course of the period. The Whalers couldn't score on the first 3 PP's they had but on the fourth they were able to go up 3-2 on a goal from Scotty Shaw with 4:10 remaining in the game.  The Blues would get some good chances late in the game but the Whalers were able to hang on for their first win of the season with a 3-2 win over the Blues.
