In the second game of the night we had the Whalers hosting the Jacks, both teams come into this week with 0-2 records. The first period would go without a goal until 5:50 remaining in the first when Scotty Shaw got the Whalers on the board first to make the score 1-0. The Jacks would push back and get a goal from Cobly LaPerle at 4:15 to tie the score at 1-1. The period would end with the score 1-1 as the Whalers Lallier turned away 8 shots and the Jacks Pelkey turned away 10.
In the second period Scotty Shaw would get his second goal of the night to put the Whalers up 2-1 just 36 seconds into the period. The Jacks would answer back with a goal from Tim Patten to tie the score at two with 12:40 remaining. The Jacks then picked up their play and scored two quick goals, the first from Marc Gattie (7:58) and the second from Jason Pelkey (7:06) to put the Jacks up 4-2. The period would end with the score 4-2 as the Jacks took over control of the game with their two quick goals. Saves were Whalers- Lallier with 12 and Jacks Pelkey with 11.
In the third the Jacks would keep the pressure on the Whalers as they would score 3 more unanswered goals. The 5th goal was scored by Colby LaPerle (his second of the night) with 11:54 remaining in the period. The Jacks would go up 6-2 on a goal from Sean Murphy just 52 seconds later (11:02), the 7th goal was scored by Will Olmstead with 6:26 left in the period. With the Jacks in full command of this game the Whalers would get a late goal from Dillan Pierce to make the score 7-3 but the Whalers couldn't get any closer as the Jacks would win this game 7-3. Saves: Whalers-Lallier finished with 29 saves and Jacks Pelkey with 36 saves.
