In the first game of the night we had a battle of unbeaten teams, the Blues (2-0) hosting Tuck (3-0). Both teams came ready to play as they wanted to prove who was going to be first in the standings after tonight. The first period was full of fast back and forth action for nearly 14 minutes until the Blues got on the board first, the Blues Eric Mack scored with 18 seconds remaining in the first period to make the score 1-0 Blues.  This was on the goal of the period as Tuck's Colin Farr made 16 saves in the first and the Blues Jay Seals made 13 saves.

In the second period Tuck would get a power play less than two minutes in but the Blues were able to kill it off.  Shortly after returning to 5 on 5 play Tuck's Andrew Cox tied the score at one with 9:19 remaining in the second period. On the faceoff following the Tuck's goal, the Blues won the faceoff and marched in to go up 2-1 on a goal from Tim Barrett. The Blues kept the pressure on and this time it was 41 seconds later that would put the Blues up 3-1 with 8:23 left in the period.  Although Tuck let up two quick goals they bounced back with two goals of their own less than a minute apart, the first goal was scored by Thomas Fortney to make the score 3-2.  Tuck's third goal was scored by Craig Switzer with 5:41 left in the period to make the score 3-3, with Tuck scoring the two goals they gained the momentum back but they were unable to score again in the second. The period would end with the score 3-3 after two, Tuck's Farr made 12 saves and the Blues Seals had 9.

In the third period Tuck would continue to buzz around the Blues end and they were able to go up 4-3 on a goal from Emmanuel Vezina with 13:49 left in the period.  Although Tuck grabbed the early lead the Blues dug deep and threw everything but the kitchen sink at Tuck's Farr but he kept turning shot after shot away.  Tuck would take the games only penalty with 23 seconds left in the game and the Blues pulled their goalie to give it one last push on a 6-4 attack but Farr was there to shut the door.  Tuck would win this game 4-3 in what was a great battle between the top two teams.  Tuck's Farr was a key factor to their win as he would finish the night with 42 saves and Blues Seals would finish with 30 saves on the night.
