In the second game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting the Jacks. The Gamblers come into tonight with an 0-2 record after losing to the Blues in week one and the Tuck last week. The Jacks come into tonight with an 0-1 record after losing to Tuck in week one and having a bye last week. This game should be a pretty even if the Gamblers can play a whole 45 minutes and stay out of the box, look for the Jacks to take this game by the score of 4-2.

In the second game of the night we have the Gamblers (0-2) hosting the Jacks (0-1). This game started out with back and forth action but neither team could break the scoreless tie until 6:56 when the Gamblers Topo LaCriox put the Gamblers up 1-0. The period would end with the score of 1-0 Gamblers. Saves- Gamblers Van Schoick 10, Jacks Pelkey  10.

In the second period the Gamblers would take a penalty 53 seconds in, giving the Jacks a power play to start the period. The Gamblers were able to kill off the penalty however shortly after it expired the Jacks would tie the game at 1-1 on a goal from Tim Patten at 11:51 mark.  The Gamblers would answer right back on a goal from Dave Sutton at 10:39 mark. The Gamblers picked up the play to another level trying to extend their led but Jack's Chris Pelkey was there to shut the door. The Gamblers would take a penalty with 54 seconds left in the period but the Jack's couldn't get anything set up in the first 54 seconds of the penalty, the period would end with the score of 2-1 Gamblers.  Saves- Gamblers Van Schoick 10, Jacks Pelkey 13.

 

In the third period the Jacks would start the period  with the remaining 1:06 left on the power play however it was the Gamblers Topo LaCriox would score a shorthanded goal at 14:42 mark to put the Gamblers up 3-1.  Even though the Jacks gave up a shorthanded goal they would make up for it by scoring a PP goal from Sean Murphy at 14:06 mark to make the score 3-2.  With the score 3-2 the Jacks knew they had to keep the pressure on and they did, they eventually would force the Gamblers to take another penalty with 4:39 left in the game. On the insuming power play the Jacks only need 50 seconds to make the score 3-3, as Tim Patten would score his second of the night with 3:49 remaining in the game. The Jacks gained momentum after scoring two goals on the PP and forced the Gamblers to take another penalty with 2:25 left in the game. The Gamblers were able to kill off the penalty and got solid goaltending from Van Schoick on this PK. With just 25 seconds left in the game the Gamblers returned to even strength and rushed the puck down to the Jacks end where Max would let a laser snap shot go high glove side to score the game winner with 15 seconds left.  The Gamblers would win the game 4-3 even though they had trouble staying out of the box in the second and third periods. The Gamblers Van Schoick made 17 saves in the third and finished the night with 37 saves. The Jacks Pelkey had 7 saves in the third and a game total of 30 saves.
